Lord of the Rings will be re-released specifically for IMAX

Peter Jackson’s cult trilogy will premiere in IMAX theaters. All parts of “The Lord of the Rings” will be re-released in early February in 4K resolution. The Fellowship of the Ring is set to premiere on February 5th, while The Two Towers and The Return of the King will hit movies a week later on February 12th.
The fact that the films will be released again became known from the trilogy’s official Twitter account. The 4K remastered were worked on by a team led by Peter Jackson himself, who noted that it was interesting to return to these films now and understand how they differ from each other. The fact is that the first part was filmed on 35 mm film and color correction was carried out mechanically, and the subsequent pictures were worked on using the digital method.
According to the director, the new version looks like it was created these days.
