The timing of the release of the picture has not yet been reported.
Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions are developing the adaptation of the successful action-adventure Ghost of Tsushima, or Ghost of Tsushima. The film will be directed by filmmaker and stuntman Chad Stahelski, who directed the John Wick trilogy with Keanu Reeves, and the game’s developers will serve as executive producers in the production. This is reported by Deadline.
Ghost of Tsushima is created by Sucker Punch Productions and distributed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game takes place in 1274, during the first Mongol invasion of Japan when the island of Tsushima was captured and devastated by the Mongol Empire. The main character is a samurai named Jin Sakai, who single-handedly gives battle to the enemy’s superior forces, relying on ancient samurai traditions and non-standard methods of fighting.
Ghost of Tsushima has overwhelmingly positive reviews. At The Game Awards 2020, she received an award for the work of artists and became the best game of the year according to gamers. She also recently crossed a grandiose milestone – since her debut in July 2020, it has sold over 6.5 million copies.
