Streaming service Paramount Plus has removed two episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants from its catalog due to controversial content.

Paramount + Removes SpongeBob's Lingerie and Quarantine Episodes from Catalog

It is no longer possible to watch the Mid-Life Crustacean from Season 3 and Quarantined Krab from Season 12 on the platform. The first is about Mr. Krabs, who became sad and began spending time with SpongeBob and Patrick. To cheer themselves up, they decided to rummage through Mr. Krabs’ mother’s underwear.

The second episode focuses on the “shellfish flu” found in the Krusty Krab, which is causing visitors and staff to be quarantined. In self-isolation, the residents of Bikini Bottom fall into aggression and feud. According to representatives of Nickelodeon, this episode is very similar to the coronavirus pandemic and may hurt the feelings of all those affected by the lockdown.
