In the British town of Leavesden, large-scale production of the Fantastic Beasts 3

Filming of "Fantastic Beasts 3" suspended due to Covid-19 at the site

Is now underway, but the shooting had to be paused. The reason for this was the positive tests for coronavirus in a member of the film crew.

Who specifically contracted Covid-19 is not reported, but sources report that among the cases there maybe someone from the main cast. There is also information that the team has discovered a South African strain of the coronavirus.

In September last year, one of the film’s employees was already diagnosed with a coronavirus, but then production continued since none of the actors fell ill. At the same time, it was reported that filming was stopped only if someone could not be filmed.

It is unclear how long the quarantine will last for the film crew. All those infected are in self-isolation.

“Fantastic Beasts 3” will be released on July 14, 2022.
